wrung out
misery welling up secretly liquid
seeping sodden
creeping sudden shadowing
oozing in fibre and pore
heavy and cold
limpen and leaden
scrap of enormity

"scrap of enormity"
beautifully expressed
Nice piece. I love the alliteration.

"The tintinabulation of the bells, bells, bells" comes to mind.
I am always caught in that scrap of enormity!
And too often am that limp rag.
touch touch
thanks
