standing

if i look back
regret still waits there

with its dark yowling hungry mouth

abysmal gorgon stone transfixing paralysing saltbound breath

the past is ruined now
ravaged by understanding

the light of all those painful conversations casts its dark
and i can't see the landscape any more

I do not know it
do not recognise and
cannot own it

where is there to stand
except the present?

nowhere else to look but forward

To Ms. Lettuce

You are heartily welcome to my blogspace.

If you write poems, do continue. You would get your vital energy pleasantly flowing through the words you would be knitting.

The literary writing gives us two opportunities at one go : to be happy and make others happy by sharing the happiness.

Keep visiting my short stories and paintings blogs. I am to post fresh materials within a week.

This perfectly speaks to my own philosophy,
what choice do we have ....
survive or not?
This is not a choice,
people survive for the most part.

Wooowww.....tell me why this poem is the story of my life right now.

Did...I....KNOW YOU....in other life?

Thanks for sharing. Great stuff. I love your word choice. Very interesting use of vocabulary.
