silence

we sat around her bed

talking laughing crying
listening in the silence to her complicated breathing

holding her hands
2 on each side

as if to tether her

and then she stopped
and there was silence

And now everything is different

Darling girl, I read your words with tears in my eyes. It is so hard to lose your mother.......

She left this world surrounded by love - it is a great testament to who she was ...... a loving and much loved woman.

I think she was a lucky mum to have a daughter who could write such loving words.

I am so glad that you were able to be there with her. I was not and I so regret not being there for her when she passed.

I keep visiting here, and crying, and not commenting, so thought I would say hello this time.

My Mum is dying, she hasnt eaten for weeks, it is a slow process, she is a strong woman. I feel sad.

I think it is great that you are able to express yourself through your blogs, and thank you for sharing.

Penny.

It is great that you express yourself this way. WE all have our avenues to release the tension and I hope this works for you. I love your poetry.
